From $99 per month as you prepare to $369 per month once you begin teaching, TXITE’s tuition model is designed to support your progress as you move toward Texas teacher certification.

Simple Tuition & Fees

Admission Application Fee: $25

Pre-Teaching Program: $99 per month

Professional Teaching Internship Program: $369 per month

Tuition for the Professional Internship Program is assessed at the same rate for both the full-year internship and the 14-week clinical teaching pathway. This tuition supports the program’s required supervision, mentoring, evaluation, administrative oversight, and certification review services provided to all candidates, regardless of pathway length

Certification Fees: Additional state certification and testing fees may apply

Flexible, Self-Paced Learning

TXITE’s coursework is designed for adult learners who need flexibility.

All courses are self-paced, allowing candidates to make progress according to their personal and professional schedules. Candidates have up to two years to complete the full program, including both:

the Pre-Teaching Program, and
the Professional Teaching Internship Program

This flexible structure allows future teachers to move forward with confidence while balancing work, family, and other responsibilities.

Designed for Working Adults

TXITE’s monthly tuition model is intended to make teacher certification more accessible.

You begin at a lower monthly rate while completing your pre-service preparation, and once you transition into the internship phase as a teacher of record or teacher assistant, the monthly tuition reflects that next stage of the journey.

This means your tuition aligns with your progress through the program.

5-Week Course Model – Student-Centered & Flexible

At The Texas Institute for Teacher Education (TXITE), we design every course for intensive yet flexible learning so adult learners can progress on their own schedule.

Course Start Date
Your 5-week period begins on your Enrollment Date - the day you gain official access to the course.

Example: If you enroll on September 1, 2025, your 5-week course runs from September 1 to October 5, 2025, starting the day you gain official access to the course. If you do not finish your course within 5 weeks, you may continue for a non-refundable monthly fee of $109.

Refunds are processed within 30 days of written withdrawal.

Application, registration, and library/service fees (up to 20% of tuition or $200) are non-refundable.
